TOPTICA reveals China company
Toptica Photonics has launched Toptica Photonics China, with a head office in Shanghai and a branch in Beijing.
In order to better serve the needs of the Chinese academic and industrial sectors in the markets of quantum technologies, biophotonics and materials processing, test and measurement, Toptica Photonics China was founded in March 2019.
Headed by Dr Juergen Stuhler, Chairman of Toptica Photonics AG, and Jason Fu, Manager, Toptica Photonics China aims to provide unparalleled sales, service and application support for the full range of laser technologies developed and produced by Toptica Photonics.
As Stuhler says: "We are excited about our further strategic expansion into the Chinese market. Through directly introducing the broad Toptica laser portfolio via our local presence, we will grow our Chinese customer base and promote our brand.”
“By founding this company, we will drive forward sustainable growth for our entire company in the coming years. We can now offer our customers in China direct sales and services for picosecond and femtosecond seeders,” he adds. “[The China company] will also support and supply our customers in the areas of quantum technology, tunable and single-frequency diode lasers, frequency combs, wavemeters, light engines for laser light microscopy, and Terahertz systems for industrial metrology and security applications."

According to Fu, he and colleagues realized the Chinese need for state-of-the-art laser systems, so Toptica Photonics has a strong focus on product development and the highest standards in its Germany-based research laboratories and production line.
“Our trained and experienced Chinese team consists of more than a dozen laser and optical specialists,” he says. “They will assist customers in China by providing strong local support in application, service and technical sales. We know the requirements of industry and research very well and are all looking forward to this exciting task.”
